In 2009 a collection of Bedfordshire YFC members from across the county assembled to create a naked calendar to raise money for charity and publicise our organisation which aims to provide social activates for people aged 10-26. We had a good participation and sold many of them so declared it a big success.
Since then the county have lost our good friend Lizzie Barnes who tragically took her own life on December 6th 2012, she was a active member of the Silsoe club and took part in nearly every activity and competition. This affected them in a big way and they wanted to find a way in which help and support could be given to others who suffer with mental illness. Her good friend Emily Steaggles suggested that the county create another calendar in memory of Lizzie with all its proceeds being donated to the charity MIND.
We got together with Pip Wass Photography who donated her time and valuables skills along with a host of generous sponsors who contributed towards all the costs involved. This means that the £10 you pay for your calendar goes straight to MIND enabling us to raise the maximum amount of money for this good cause.
